Two different levels - CPD Accreditation & Diploma Accreditation

The NCIP offers accreditation at two different levels for training courses within these disciplines.

Professional associations within psychotherapy, coaching, counselling, or hypnotherapy currently set their standards for training as there are no compulsory training courses or qualifications for these specialisms.

Whether you are looking for a training course or you are seeking the services of a therapist, coach, or counsellor, please focus your search on those that are accredited by a reputable organisation.

All courses, whether Diplomas or CPD are assessed by our team of Professional Assessors.

CPD Accreditation

Shorter training courses come under our CPD accreditation where we accredit an organisation for the shorter training courses they run.  To be CPD accredited each course can be of any length of duration but under 370 Notional Learning Hours (NLH).

Diploma Accreditation

  • Diplomas are accredited individually as the accreditation is focused on practitioner training and the NCIP aims to maintain and develop professional standards. Our Diploma training accreditation is offered at two levels for our members.  The minimum requirement for our entry-level diploma accreditation is that a training course needs to be the equivalent of an Ofqual equivalent Level 5 with a minimum of 370 Guided Learning Hours (GLH).
  • We also offer Diploma accreditation for courses rated at Level 6 (Postgrad Diploma) or Level 7 (Masters) with a minimum of 370 Guided Learning Hours (GLH).

Accreditation for either is for one year from the date we accredit the course or the organisation (for CPD).

How does our Accreditation work?

NCIP accreditation offers an independent professional evaluation of your organisation’s training and/or course/s and we will verify that your training meets the required learning objectives for each element. Feedback on our accreditation shows our members value this independent assessment.

Our accreditation demonstrates to your clients, peers, and others within the industry that you have invested in developing high-quality training. Once your training is accredited, you can use our accreditation logo when promoting your courses.

Benefits of NCIP Accreditation

  • Professional external benchmarking demonstrates the steps you have taken to deliver the highest learning standards across many key areas.

  • Creates a competitive advantage and helps to develop new client relationships.

  • Provides recognition and credibility for your organisation.

  • You have access to ongoing advice and a framework to help you continuously improve the training you offer.
